Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist, and competing with the UFC flyweight division. Valentina is her younger sister, as well as a fellow UFC competitors. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. She debuted in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the competition and defeated Suzane Milliner in a unanimous vote. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after getting bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, a Gold medal in the year 2011, and the 2016 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia started her professional journey when she was in the year 2003. She has won several championships, including the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships and WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was a unanimous one. Antonina Schevchenko began career-long MMA professional career back in the year 2002, with the victory over Anara Baanova at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She won via second-round TKO after which she won 2 more fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to get a 3-0 record. Shevchenko was a dedicated kickboxer, and took a long absence from MMA. She came back to fight in 2017 and faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa in an unanimous decision. She then went on to beat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She left the promotion in the year 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's formidable strike abilities let her TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Antonina was offered a UFC invitation following her win. Antonina was given the UFC contract following her win. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight after winning the first fight via unanimous decision. Antonina bounced right back after the defeat and beat Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submissions in the 2nd round. This fight earned Antonina the Bonus Fight of the Night. Shevchenko has a record of 1-2 during her subsequent three matches which included a win over Ariane Lipski and being defeated by Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. In the past, Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
