Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is a American TV personality who is a chef, and a an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spikey blonde locks and pump up appearance, offers easy techniques anybody can learn. The chef Burrell is also a veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She also has studied Italy's culinary tradition and its culture and the surrounding landscape. When she was a kid in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. After earning an English and Communication degree in Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the business of restaurant by enroling in The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent my most memorable time in my life. It was hard to study and do enough or put in the hours. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Her time spent in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate the Italian way of life and its culture and this has left an impact on her own food and culinary experience. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten children who are facing obstacles and is also a Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation celebrity ambassador where she is an advocate for the awareness of juvenile diabetes. In her capacity as an inspirational speaker, she makes trips across the country to speak about her passion for food and her culinary career. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate to be able to share her true passion with the people around her.
